Head of the Rapool Representation in the Baltic States
RAPOOL is a leading German seed company which has successfully developed winter and spring oilseed rape varieties for 40 years and has subsidiaries for distribution throughout Europe. The basis for the outstanding position of RAPOOL in the Baltic States today dates back to the early 1990’s and customer relationships established back then are still among the most important sales channels for RAPOOL today. In addition, the Rapool team is responsible for commercialization of the SAATEN-UNION-Union Group varieties of cereals and pulses to complete a relevant seed portfolio for the agriculture in the Baltic States.
We are looking with immediate effect for a Head of the Rapool Representation in the Baltic States. Our representation office is in Šiauliai, Lithuania (www.rapool.lt). However, as our long-term clients are in all three Baltic countries, we would consider candidates who live in any Lithuanian town/city and who are ready and open for a dynamic organizational life across Lithuania and the Baltic States.
As Head you will be responsible for the full operational management of the company in seed sales to customers, finance and leading the sales support team in the Baltic States. An important objective is the further development of our excellent market position by active sales and the enlargement of our product portfolio with the brand SAATEN-UNION. You will ensure professional planning, controlling, monitoring, and accounting of the company results. All tasks are executed in close cooperation with the head office of RAPOOL and SAATEN-UNION in Germany.
Our expectations:
In addition to commercial experience and/or education, we expect a good agricultural expertise. Several years’ experience in the agricultural supply sector, preferably in the seed business, would be ideal. Important for us, is a profound experience in sales activities, management, and business economics, working in cooperation with international companies and a willingness to work in a team within the RAPOOL and SAATEN-UNION group. We are looking for a convincing personality that is characterized by entrepreneurial thinking and action, a high level of market and sales orientation and personal integrity. As we are an internationally operating organization, we expect good communication skills in English and desirably in Russian.
