FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER BALTIC (Diagnostic & Laboratory equipment for Clinical Diagnostics, Food safety and Life sciences)


LABEMA (www.labema.lt) is a Finnish distribution company specializing in importing, marketing and delivering quality products for microbiology and clinical diagnostics (www.labema.fi/suppliers).
Our clients are food control laboratories, clinical laboratories, research centers, universities, and food or other industries involved in microbiological diagnostics.
Labema’s operations are strongly based on scientific and practical expertise in diagnostic systems and processes with a focus to understand and anticipate customers’ constantly changing needs.
LABEMA is expanding business in Baltics and looking for a new member of the team in Lithuania.

What are my responsibilities?

Maintenance and repair work of medical laboratory equipment (including laboratory automation and IT solutions) and application support.
Understanding the customer’s processes, planning, executing, developing and maintaining automation and other technical solutions as well as offering and new solutions to customers.
Responsible for training customers and participating on fairs and exhibitions if needed.
Working as a part of our Baltic team and providing careful and systematic service in Lithuania and, based on a need, abroad in other Baltic or European countries.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

You have independent, determined and cost effective approach towards working and you are a convincing co-operator.
You understand the meaning of proficient customer service to our company image.
Living in Vilnius or Kaunas you are able to travel most of the working time to the laboratories, hospitals and clinics in Lithuania and abroad if necessary.

We also expect you to have:

•    A university degree or an equivalent experience in medical/laboratory/diagnostic equipment, engineering and technology, medical IT, etc.;
•    An understanding of medical/laboratory diagnostics hardware, software and application related issues;
•    Self-reliance and responsibility, high degree of flexibility, good interpersonal skills and positive attitude;
•    Interest in developing and learning new, initiative approach;
•    Customer service approach (previous customer service/sales experience is an advantage);
•    Good written and verbal communication skills in Lithuanian and English;
•    Driving license and willingness to travel in Lithuania and Baltic.
